Laser Surgery:

Mr Solomons is an International authority on the use of lasers for the treatment of skin conditions. He has run international and national courses training other physicians in the use of lasers. He acts as a reference site for Laserscope, one of the biggest laser companies, evaluating new lasers for them in the United Kingdom.

He also offers preceptorships whereby visiting physicians spend time with him learning laser techniques. He regularly lectures at academic meetings on the use of lasers in Cosmetic Dermatology & Surgery.

The following lasers are used in his practice:

KTP 'Aura' laser: for vascular lesions (thread veins, telangiectasia, vascular malformations, venous lakes, haemangiomata, port-wine stains), pigmented lesions (sun spots, ageing spots, melasma, increased pigmentation from various causes) and photo-rejuvenation.

Long pulsed Nd:YAG 'Lyra' laser: for hair removal (all skin types), pseudofolliculitis barbae caused by ingrown hairs, leg veins and photorejuvenation.

Q-switched Nd:YAG: for tattoo removal.
